This is fucking ridiculous!!!!
Is it open fucking season on black men???????
I have half a mind to lock up my husband for his own good.

My child wears a hoodie- most days
He never smiles when he’s walking- all the time
He loves rap music
He wears his pants past his waist line- all the time
He’s taller than I am and works out at the gym so his muscles are impressive.
He goes to the store all hours of the day- all the time
He would stop to challenge anyone he thinks is following him for no reason.
He’s a black boy.
He’s also my baby. My soul.
Black mothers, we tell our boys, work harder because it’s not the same for you.
Be careful baby, don’t get in trouble because the punishment will not be the same for you.
Don’t act too tough because the assumptions will not be the same for you.
How do we say this to our babies: When a crime is committed against you, it’s still not going to be the same for you.
RIP- Baby. This racism needs to stop. Just because somebody is a different color than you are does not give you the right to harm them. This is happening all over Chicago with all these young black men getting killed from left to right. It saddens me to see a little boy laying in a casket not being able to enjoy a life he rightly deserved to live, but couldn’t because of his race.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, “Who still wants it…?” Still the hands were up in the air. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air. “My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who do love you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are. You are special; Don’t ever forget that.”I will never get tired of reblogging this. Know your worth.
